Workaholism is an increasingly prevalent issue in the modern workplace that human resource managers need to address.
Workaholism research in the past decade has made much progress, providing intriguing insights on its meaning, behavioural symptoms and work outcomes.
In this webinar A/P Jun Gu will provide a quick overview of the major research findings on workholism and introduce his research-in-progress on how we might be influenced by other people's workaholism (e.g., supervisor, family member, etc...)
He will also provide some practical tips on how to manage workaholism to improve our efficiency and well-being at work.
Speaker: Dr Jun Gu, Associate Professor, Organisational Behaviour, Macquarie Business School
Jun's research focuses on the individual behavioural decision-making processes in the context of ethics, leadership and negotiation.
His work has appeared in quality journals such as Organizational Behaviour and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Organizational Behaviour, Journal of Experimental Psychology, General, Journal of Business Ethics and Journal of Experimental Social Psychology.
He is in the editorial board of the Journal of Vocational Behaviour and a member of the reviewer panel for the Journal of Organizational Behaviour.
