Speaker: Cliff Gillam, Managing Director, Senecan Solutions
Cliff Gillam commenced a career in HR after earlier careers as an academic at the University of Western Australia and subsequently as a theatre arts professional.
His route to HR went via a period as a senior industrial relations adviser and advocate for the State Government, before becoming the chief Human Resources officer at the agency of State Government then known as the Department of Conservation and Land Management.
He moved to the role of Executive Director People and Organisational Development at the Public Transport Authority during the construction period of the Southern Suburbs rail system and then to the role of Executive Director Workforce at the Department of Education. While in that role in 2015, he was awarded the Institute of Public Administration Australia HR Practitioner of the Year Award.
After twenty years in executive HR roles Cliff retired from the public sector in 2017, and now consults independently, specifically in the development of leaders in organisations.
