WA Central Metro Network Forum
The WA Central Metro network invites you to the first WA HR Book Club. These monthly events will be an inclusive space for HR professionals to come together to learn and critically discuss relevant Human Resources and Organisational Psychology literature.
Attendees will get to participate in thought-provoking discussions and critique of Human Resources and Organisational Psychology literature. They will expand their network and get to know one another in a way that might not result from traditional networking.
Books will be chosen based on relevant topics in the HR community. For example, 3 culture-focused books for members to choose from for the first month. Each month the members will be suggested 3 new books with some relevance to Australian current events and HR hot topics, and members will get to pick which book we focus on.

Facilitator: Tara Roopra, Consultant, Talenting
Tara is a consultant at Talenting, a HR consultancy working with government, Not-For-Profit and private organisations. Her background & postgraduate experience is in Organisational Psychology, providing a strong understanding of what motivates and drives people. Tara’s strengths-based approach is underpinned by positive psychology, which focuses on growing what is working well.
In addition to her work at Talenting, she is involved in research in implicit bias, leadership and organisational intervention. Through her work experience, she has become skilled at encouraging successful, inclusive and diverse business cultures.
She is an accredited coach and accredited in multiple psychometric assessment tools. With her coaching background, she is skilled at encouraging growth and high performance for individual, team and organisational success.
