VIC OD Online Forum
As HR practitioners we will all be asked to engage our employees in change due to the struggling business environment; possibly a cost reduction program, a restructure or process automation to gain efficiencies.
Normally we would roll it out with a high-engagement or open sourced change management approach – but these aren’t normal times. Your employees may not be in a place of openness and readiness for change. They are stressed; They are tired. The Australian Bureau of Statistics found almost 1 in 2 Australians are nervous (46%) and experiencing varying levels of personal stress. It’s an environment of high uncertainty and emotion.
How do you help your organisation successfully roll out change, when employees are in this state and are more susceptible to resistance? How do you support your employees to build their ability to cope in advance (resilience for change), generate a level of openness as well as anticipate what is coming?
This session will provide practical knowledge and tools to:
• Understand the physiology and psychology of what their employees are experiencing right now (the neuroscience of change).
• Change Hacks to help employees move forward when things don’t go as expected, and they want to avoid or shut down, or alternatively, are over-reacting .
• Helping employees be proactive in change and anticipate what is coming.
This forum is suitable for:
HR Practitioners in their early to senior career, specifically in the roles of:
- Learning & Development
- Organisational Development
- HR Business partner
