VIC Organisational Development Online Forum
Before the uncertainty created by COVID-19, there was uncertainty about what people felt should be prioritised and valued.
This phenomenon produced the current social environment characterised by discontinuous shifts in values and expectations of customers and stakeholders.
The AHRI 5 Hard Truths report, the Gallup: State of the Global Workplace report along with the continued decline in Australia’s productivity make it clear that much of what has passed for acceptable in business over the last 10 years has failed.
The time is right to have a hard look at what practices and workplace design can catalyse change and drive improvement through cooperation in this new world with lower costs and greater productivity-in a new way.
This online forum will introduce participants to participative methods for changing an organisation’s design principle, which leads to high levels of collaboration, cooperation and productivity.
In this session the presenters will discuss:
• Two organisational design principles and their key characteristics.
• The affect they have on employee behaviour, motivation, wellbeing and productivity.
• Resources required to change an organisation’s design principle.
• Several recent case studies where businesses significantly improved performance by changing their organisational design principle.
At the conclusion of this online forum participants will able to make an informed decision about whether to further explore the benefits of changing organisational design principles.
This forum is suitable for:
Those in the mid to senior stages of their HR career, specifically in the roles of:
• Organisational Development
• Industrial Relations
• HR Business Partner
• Workforce planning
