Leadership for managing conflict and culture
Every conflict is an opportunity for leadership, great leadership is tested during conflict.
There are two main kinds of conflict; when people’s ideas, decisions or actions relating directly to a project (or task) are in opposition or when two or more people just don’t get along. Unmanaged conflict can become a problem which can lead to a crisis and can also impact culture.
How and when do you manage a conflict before it escalates to a formal complaint as a Leader? Dealing with conflict in a timely and effective manner requires professionalism and maturity that goes beyond basic standards of complaints/grievance handling.
Please join us for a workshop involving an interactive presentation and case studies reflecting on how great leaders handle conflict management before it gets to a crisis state.
This session will explore:

• The five modes of conflict
• The art of how to lose the battle and win the war
Speaker: Silas Issa, Managing Director, Think Influence
Silas is dedicated to developing people in their emotional intelligence, communication and leadership, with a passion to bring out their unique potential to thrive and succeed. He has developed Emotional Intelligence programs specialising in meeting the challenges associated with today’s corporate environment. Silas has over 20 years in leadership experience, 14 of which as a CEO within the challenging non-for-profit sector. He worked in three different countries and with over 40 nationalities, making an impact that is relevant to all age groups.
During his role as CEO, he implemented three individual periods of organisational and cultural change from creating dynamic growth to overseeing mindset changes, which resulted in social equality and humanitarian programs in 22 countries. An extensive educational background including a Masters Degree and Harvard University training has provided Silas the capacity to develop strategic, high performance programs for Government, Corporate and Not-for- Profit organisations.
Silas is passionate about diversity, equality, and Gen-Y/Z leadership.
