We in HR know that for some years now employers have had to work hard to find high potential people. If your organisation wants to tap into a hidden pool of highly motivated, resilient individuals with a proven track record of success, commitment, teamwork and drive, then this session is for you.

Working with a network of endorsed employers, the Australian Institute of Sport [AIS] has developed the EVOLVE Program which has mutual benefit to both athletes and employers.

The AIS EVOLVE program offers potential employers an alternative, untapped, pool of high-performance talent and future leaders. The AIS can demonstrate how forward-thinking organisations, by working with elite athletes, can bring a focus on continuous improvement, high performance mindset and collaboration within a team. Most importantly the AIS can also demonstrate how like-minded organisations who consider the well-being of others to be a priority can prosper.

The AIS invests heavily in the development of athletes – in a way that is applicable beyond athletes’ performance potential on the world stage. Athlete talent comes with extensive support from a range of areas including career and education, mental health, personal skills, community engagement, conduct and professionalism, which exist across the 5 domains of athlete wellbeing and engagement. These capabilities are highly transferable to an Athlete’s team members in the workplace. The way the AIS invests in athletes provides some important learnings for employers.

Further, this program gives employers an opportunity to support elite athletes who represent Australia on the world stage in a mutually beneficial and commercially sustainable manner. EVOLVE is a great way to increase your commitment to diversity. Learn how elite athletes offer positive role model attributes within your workforce, which can be an effective way to improve wellbeing and engagement within your organisation.

After 7pm, the AIS team will stay at the venue until 7.45pm for networking with employers wanting to learn further how the EVOLVE program is aimed at organisations who thrive on alternative perspectives and skill sets that can disrupt the status quo.

Drake International will kindly be providing refreshments following the panel session.
