This online forum will explore the issue of burnout within organisations. Whilst it has been a growing phenomenon within organisations in the last few years, COVID-19 has exacerbated this issue as employees grapple with major changes in work environments and competing demands and expectations between work and home life.
A global study was carried out to examine the level of burnout experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on job performance and quality. Based on responses from over 1,700 respondents across 16 countries, Dr John Chan, the lead researcher for the study, will discuss the findings and provide some recommendations on what organisations and leaders can do to decrease the prevalence of burnout within their organisation.
