No doubt you've heard "It's all about leadership" at least once a quarter, probably for your whole career.
But is it?
Researcher Ruth Sims from the School of Management at UniSA has a different perspective - organisations could benefit from a better understanding of followership.
Could it be that we have been missing half the game in our quest to make organisations better?
Join us for a session with Ruth where we will:
Be introduced to followership as an integral component of success in organisations
Learn how to leverage the interrelationship between leadership and followership to achieve outcomes
Be challenged to think differently about how work and performance is achieved within our teams
You'll leave with a deeper insight of the relational nature of workplaces and a different lens through which to view and influence your team’s behaviour/ performance and relationships.
This event is suitable for:
HR professionals at all levels especially in the roles of Organisation Development, Learning & Development, HR Business Partner and Recruitment.
Speaker: Ruth Sims, Researcher, University of South Australia
Ruth is a PhD candidate in the School of Management and a student member of the Centre for Workplace Excellence, which conducts evidence-based research to show how organisations can address workplace challenges.
With a Masters in Educational Management, and further Post-Graduate qualifications in Human Resource Management, Ruth’s professional experience includes communications, project management, planning and review, higher education management, providing strategic advice to senior managers, training design, workshop facilitation and mentoring, as well as leadership in professional and community groups.
