Strengthening Self-Organisation and Collaborative Intelligence in Teams
Coming to us via video conference Jan De Visch will provide new answers to the question of how teams become self-organising, using the summary concept of collaborative intelligence. Using resources from adult development in the fields of emotional and cognitive maturity, Jan will explain how teams bring these factors into play through their conversations. These can lead to either upward or downward-divided teams and dialog, which in turn either creates or destroys collaborative intelligence.
By having a clear understanding of these forces, leaders can help teams to operate in ‘we-spaces’ that suit the development levels of teams to allow them to become more self-organising, while being able to understand how dialog creates an environment for movement ‘upwards’…or down.
