  • Underpayments and time management
  • Productivity expectations and conversations
  • IFAs and valuing the flexibility – how to put a dollar amount on working from home as a benefit
  • Managing carer’s responsibilities whilst working from home
  • Employer direction (e.g. COVID-19) or an employee preference? Does it matter?
  • What resources need to be provided?
  • What are the potential safety issues and how to manage these?

    Speaker: Kym Waters, Senior Manager, HR Operations, RAA

    Kym started his working life as a mechanical engineer and after realising he liked working with people more than machines transitioned into human resources.

    He currently leads the HR Operations function within the broader People & Environment business unit at RAA with responsibility for HR Systems, Payroll, Recruitment and Industrial Relations, as well as managing Facilities and the in-house Café. He has a particular interest in employee and industrial relations.

    Kym is a current member of the South Australian AHRI State Council serving as Council Secretary since 2013.

    Strategic Employee Relations is a consultancy assisting employers navigate the complex employee relations system.

    Zev has experience as a lawyer and in-house ER manager, and helps employers in the areas of wage compliance, enterprise agreements, project/tender support and outsourced employee relations.

    With over 15 years extensive Human Resources experience, Jessica has developed and executed strategic people frameworks in both greenfield and established organisations in Australia and internationally.

    Jessica’s experience spans across both blue and white collar environments in a variety of industries and disciplines including: Defence, Engineering, Professional and Scientific Services, Manufacturing, Management Consulting, Information Technology, Mining, Civil Construction, Road Transport & Retail.
