QLD Mackay Network
2021 brings you the second Great HR Debate in Mackay.
Continuing a fine pre-COVID tradition, the Mackay HR community is proud to once again present a formal debate, this time on “employee freedoms in the post-pandemic workplace”.
Teams of three will argue their position on whether there is too much or not enough power and opportunity for employers to direct employees in a post-pandemic workplace on things not ordinarily considered work-related.
Join members of the AHRI Mackay network committee and the broader Mackay HR Industry in the region to discuss this topical and divisive workplace issue.
The debate will be adjudicated by Tom Reaburn of McCullough Robertson from Brisbane and supported by two local industry experts as judges – Nic Willis of Nic Willis Consulting and Karen Beckham of Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal.
Following the formal conclusion of the debate, there will be a presentation on the issue by Tom Reaburn of McCullough Robertson along with a handout on some of the key aspects discussed. After the dust has settled, there will be an opportunity for networking.
This is a great opportunity for both HR and operational teams from all industries to listen to both sides of the argument and ponder their organisation’s policies and practices when it comes to employer and employee freedoms in the workplace.
