Flexible Working: Considerations in operationalising legislative provisions
This forum aims to provide HR Practitioners with the opportunity to learn more about flexible work arrangements including the return to work and requests for flexible working and managing ill and injured employees.
This forum is ideal for HR practitioners who are responsible for providing advice and support in relation to flexible work arrangements in their workplaces.
Speaker: Karen Cicero, HR Director Employee Relations, Mater Group
Karen is responsible for remuneration and benefits; registration and working rights for international clinicians; workforce analytics; as well as the design and implementation of industrial frameworks and governance arrangements to ensure that the Mater Group meets legislative and regulatory requirements and delivers workforce conditions which recognise high performance and drive critical business outcomes.
Karen’s career and experience in Human Resources spans over 20 years. Starting her HR career in consulting and management roles, Karen’s expertise is in the areas of employee and industrial relations, transformational change; and HR management including workforce planning and talent management, leadership development; workplace inclusion and policies and procedures.
Over the last 16 years Karen has worked in a number of senior HR roles across a variety of industries including healthcare, aviation engineering and airline catering.
Karen attained her Master of Business in 2009 and prior to this completed her Bachelor of Business, Human Resource Management in 1998.
