Who's looking after HR? - Self-marketing 101 for HR Professionals

Why is it that HR professionals are more likely than not, to drag the chain when it comes to self-marketing?

As HR professionals,  you view (if not receive) or will view 1,000’s of resumes/CV’s or related personal promotional materials from others and you make or will make hundreds of important recruitment and HR related decisions based in part, on your perception and interpretation of these promotional materials.  You would definitely know what you are looking for from a candidate to evidence he/she is the best person for the job on offer and you know how to interpret the self-marketing material before you in a constructive and no doubt pro-active manner.

Then why is it, when it comes to our own applications for new roles as HR professionals do we neglect our own self-marketing? 

Is it that we leave our applications to the last minute? Do we rely on our HR colleagues receiving our application to successfully interpret the application we have submitted? Or is it that we believe the bare necessities or what landed us our last role will be good enough to carry us to the next?
Join us in this enlightening interactive lunch-time presentation, where we explore the simply must haves of self-marketing for the HR professional of today.
