Injury Prevention and Management
This session will focus on injury prevention and management and strategies employers can take to ensure a safe workplace for their staff.
Attendees will learn about the Injury Prevention and Management Program (a joint initiative of the Office of Industrial Relations and WorkCover) and find out how the IPaM program focuses on advisory interventions specific to a workplace’s industry, function, size and needs. Our guest speaker will also provide an insight into the compliance functions of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) and the Electrical Safety Office, and how employers can ensure their obligations are being met.
The conversation will then move to our second guest speaker, who will discuss what mental health is, outline why it is important to the workplace, and provide attendees with practical take-away tips on how they can make a difference in their own work environment.
There will be time for Q&A at the conclusion of the session.
