It won’t surprise you to hear that simply including the line “Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply” in a job ad is not sufficient to achieve Indigenous employment outcomes. Corporate Australia has become much more sophisticated in their efforts to create real change, but what are the key drivers to success?
Join us for an interactive presentation and Q&A where we will dive into a case study with our speaker for the evening, Therese Nitenius, Diversity & Inclusion Consultant at the consulting firm IPA. In partnership with a multinational financial services business, the D&I team at IPA helped the organisation increase Indigenous representation with 64 candidates over 12 months in 2020/21.
Therese will share the strategy and steps taken in a recent employment program, which saw 13 candidates placed with the client organisation in January, all of whom are still employed there today.
This is a session benefitting all levels of HR practitioners and will help in reflecting on your organisation’s strategies and how to progress the D&I agenda within your own company.
Be sure to allow time for networking on arrival and have your questions at the ready for Therese’s presentation.
