The Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) aims to resolve problems between employers and employees before they escalate into formal disputes. This session is designed for HR professionals, Managers and Business Owners to guide you through the pathways of early intervention, mediation and small claims assistance.
 
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the FWO’s approach to handling various types of workplace disputes and how employers can best prepare to engage in dispute resolution (including examples of what to do and what not to do).

With 2020 being a year of accelerated responses to changing workplace relations this Zoom session is a must for those wanting to manage risks associated with potential disputes.

Speaker: Aaron Rilstone, Director: Stakeholder Strategy & Engagement, Fair Work Ombudsman

Aaron has worked in a number of industrial relations focused roles in both the private and public sector for almost 20 years.

Prior to initiating and embedding his current team he held Director positions across the FWO in teams including:
 - Government and Parliamentary policy 
 - Communications; and 
 - Compliance and Operations

In his role, and in addition to leading the Agencies Small Business functions, Aaron is responsible for leading the FWO’s engagement and consultation practices with key stakeholders, partners and communities.
