HR Success Strategies for SME’s

Successfully managing people in SMEs can bring with it particular challenges and opportunities.

This session will explore these unique challenges and opportunities and present a simple, unique framework that SMEs can use to assess current people management practices.
It will identify and prioritise strategies that can make a real and significant difference to the profitability, culture and ongoing success of the business.

Topics covered will include areas such as:

  • Equipping Others

  • Our guest speaker Greg Mitchell will discuss his framework for the elements of HR Success, leaving session participants with key strategies to measure HR Success.

    This session is suitable for: HR Managers in larger organisations, HR Professionals and Business Owners, or General Managers, Business Leaders and HR Professionals.


    Speaker: Greg Mitchell, Principal Consultant and Owner, HR Success

    Greg has in excess of 25 years’ experience in HR management and organisational development roles across a variety of industries in both private and public sectors.

    His experience includes leadership of the HR and organisational development functions in large corporate and not-for-profit organisations undergoing significant growth and change, and the provision of coaching and consulting services to a range of small to medium-sized businesses with 5 to 100 staff.

    Greg has undergraduate qualifications in HR Management, a postgraduate qualification in the Management of Organisation Change and a Masters in Social Ecology. He is also an experienced trainer (Cert IV TAA qualified) and is accredited and experienced in the use of a range of management, leadership and organisation culture tools, including Human-Synergistics (Lifetime Accredited Practitioner status), Everything DiSC®, Harrison Assessments and The McQuaig System™.

    Greg is a Member of the Australian HR Institute, he sits on the HR Course Advisory Board for Charles Sturt University, the Board of Penrith Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Schools Industry Partnership, a not-for-profit organisation helping young people in Western Sydney to transition from school to work.
