Building a different approach to positive organisational culture – Creating a generation of “upstanders”
The focus of this AHRI network forum is creating healthier, more robust workplace cultures through an emphasis on empowering people to take responsibility for their actions in the workplace.
Our speaker, Jessica Hickman, shares her personal journey with being on the frontline of bullying and harassment and the journey she has subsequently taken many employers through in creating a generation of “upstanders“ not bystanders.
Through real life examples, an educational approach and decoding the science of the bystander effect, this session will focus on inspirational ways to harness diversity and inclusion driven by a positive leadership culture.
Ms Hickman is a sought after speaker who shares powerful insights with her audience on understanding the next generation, looking at unconscious bias and amplifying adaptable thinking.
This forum is suitable for:
HR Practitioners of all career levels and roles.
Speaker: Jessica Hickman, Bullyoligist, Bullyology
Launched in 2017, her business, Bullyology, looks at training and education to transform toxic cultures into connected tribes.
When she moved to Australia, whilst working in an HR role, she found herself on the frontline of workplace bullying and harassment. This experience was the catalyst for her to start her own business, where she works to transform peoples view from being bystanders, to “upstanders”, calling out workplace bullying.
Today, Jessica is a published author and a globally recognised speaker, deeply committed to empowering others through her personal story of courage and adversity.
