Speaker: Melissa Wiliams,Powerlink 

Melissa Williams is the General Manager People and Culture for Powerlink - a leading Australian provider of high voltage electricity transmission network services, combining innovation with insight to deliver safe, cost effective and reliable solutions

Melissa has more than 20 years working across the public, private and NFP sectors holding senior roles in health and aged care, transportation, education and energy.   

Since joining Powerlink 18 months ago, Melissa has taken a collaborative approach to strategic people priorities with a view to ensuring the organisation is well positioned for a rapidly changing environmental context.   

Prior to this Melissa led the development of the Queensland Government’s 10 Year Human Capital Strategic Outlook enabling Queensland’s largest employer to prepare for the shifts on the horizon and a radically different future of work.

In addition to her accomplishments in HR/IR Melissa has rounded her experience by holding senior roles in the areas of Customer Experience and Operations Management. This experience is supported by her qualifications in Psychology.

Her multi-disciplinary expertise combined with her thought leadership and innovative co-creation approaches has made her an enthusiast in the areas of both customer and employee experience and a passionate catalyst for change.
