HR Speed Networking
What is the forum about?
An opportunity to network and connect with other HR professionals, in a fun and fast-paced HR speed networking event. Participants in this session will be divided into 4 groups, where you will hear from 4 different speakers on a variety of HR topics. You will then have the opportunity, amongst that small group, to ask questions of the presenter / table facilitator or share your experiences.
Topic 1. Adverse Action – Donna Wilcox, Head of Workplace Relations
An overview of what is Adverse Action is and how we as HR practitioners can ensure we understand and protect both our organisation and our employees from any adverse action.
Topic 2. Emotional Intelligence & Change – Joanne Smith – Head Teacher Management & Naomi Coady – Teacher & Course Coordinator HR
Emotional Intelligence underpins our capacity to work well with others, manage stress and make effective decisions. Get an overview of identifying and managing your own emotions and the emotions of others.
Topic 3. Having Difficult Conversations with Manager from a HR Perspective – Fiona Mackin – Lead Business Partner - West
Preparing and conducting conversations that address difficult aspects with a Manager.
Topic 4. Workforce Development & Subsidised Training Opportunities - Lucy Eccleston - Sales Officer TAFE NSW – West
A quick overview of how TAFE can provide your staff with full qualifications, short courses, customised skill sets, or bespoke training to suit the specific needs of your organisation – including current funding opportunities to fully subsidise accredited training.
