Building Resilience – Why it is a must in today’s workplaces
At work - are you experiencing…
Continual change and uncertainty?
Increased pace of work?
Workplace related stress?
Challenges to your effectiveness?
Today individuals must not only build new and different capabilities, but actively manage their capacity for exercising leadership. Developing resilience to handle complexity is not a luxury, but a strategic advantage for both individuals and organisations.
Fostering resilience in the workplace – an important business strategy in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing business environment, individuals must be resilient – able to confidently face challenges, embrace change and recover from disappointment and defeats.
There will be times when as a female, your resilience will be tested, where you may struggle with behaviours and beliefs which constrict your ability to thrive. Fostering resilience is a vital trait for all people in the workplace and fostering this skill in you, your team and your fellow colleagues is an imperative in order to progress in our complex and relentless workplaces.
In our workplace, as in our personal life, we have a preference to surround ourselves with people who respond to daily demands with enthusiasm and determination rather than fear, anger or resistance.
In business, we rarely have control over adverse economic events or planned organisational changes, but we all have an important role to play in building personal levels of resilience and a sense of resilience in our teams in readiness for whatever challenges come our way.
Kerryn Fewster will explore scenarios and provide practical techniques to build resilience in you, your team and your workplace.
