Workforce Planning During Transformation
Come and join us for a facilitated discussion with Jennifer Dobell, National Manager for the Department of Human Services (DHS), about one of the largest workforce transformations in the APS. DHS is the second largest Commonwealth agency and is working to proactively engage with its high-profile modernisation agenda and future proof the workforce.
Speaker: Jennifer Dobell, National Manager, Department of Human Services
Jennifer has had a long and varied career across the Private Sector, Government and Not for Profit sector.
She worked for CCH, a global publishing house in transformation due to the advent of the internet and corresponding impact on publishing. During her time at CCH she rose to Head of Mergers and Acquisitions of Asia Pacific Division.
In a shift of gear, she moved to a small town in rural Victoria and became COO of a large charity delivering disability, carers and family services. Her biggest achievement was the invention and national roll out of the Coach the Coach program – a mental health program designed to train rural football coaches on the early warning signs of depression and anxiety.
Jennifer moved back to Melbourne and worked for the ANZ Bank in Industry Specialisation before leaving to create the Australian Charity and NFP Commission as the Head of Corporate Services. Promoted to Assistant Commissioner at the ATO, she held three senior roles in HR, including creation and implementation of the new HR service offer and transforming recruitment and onboarding before moving to DHS.
